All I need fay further in this place is, confidef what your beafl is capable of performing, and the keeping you beftow on him •, then require no more than reafon exadts, and you may expe& a long an4 faithful fervant. A REMARK OR TWO ON STABLES. THE (tabling of horfes in the country, require* but few directions, their {tables in general being Capacious enough for a free circulation of air, which is as neceffary for a horfe, as for the human fpecies. But where thirty or forty are kept to- jethefs in a clofe (table, where the air has no ac- cefs but by the door, together with the (harp ex- halations from the urine, perfpiration of their todies, &c. it renders the fituation difagreeable, and alrcoit intolerable. A horfe in health, to remain long in fuch a place, would foon be en- ervated and unfit for bufinefs. Stables fhould be iituated where the air may have a draught through them j and in every horfe's apartment a fmall window fhould be placed, and left open tbroagh the night, and not (hut up to fuffbeate its inhabi- tants, as too frequently is the cafe in fea-port towns.
