GOODCHILD, a man who had *J e been ruptured from his infancy, was brought into St. Bartholomew’s Hofpital labouring under fuch fymptoms from ftridture, as to render the opera-, tion immediately neceflary, but to leave little room to expedt that it would be fuccefsful. The operation was performed in the ufual manner, but upon returning the inteftine into the abdomen, I found that the tefticle was naked, and that the gut had been in contadt with it.
