Once again, waste paper has not been baled because of the inability to obtain the services of a suitable baler-man. haste paper was sold loose and the income from all salvage was increased slightly to reach an income of £683. complete reorgB.nisation of this section is in process, coupled v/ith a bonus scheme payable to all the men on the refuse collection and disposal staff. This will resiilt in a considerable increase in income from salvage, and this will be used to pay the men the extra money which is so essential if we are to recruit and maintain a sufficient labour force. RODENT COMQL. There can be no let-u^D in the control of rodents and other pests, and your Rodent Officer s^Dent most of his time on this work. He has also assisted the Inspectors, whenever possible, on various duties connected v/ith the Department.
