Photograph of a version of the Oliver haemodynamometer or sphygmomanometer by Hawksley, patent no. 246. Oliver first described his instrument in 1898. It was presented to the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum in 1927 and accessioned in 1927 (accession number R28077). It is not held by Wellcome Collection.
