As part of the readjustment, thi' jiridiminary stao'es have been entered into for the administration of the ])ersonal health services of tlie (hinnty on a divisional basis. For this ])nrpose the Comity has been divided into four divisions, namely, the Rnekrose Division eonpirisinp' the ]\[nniei]ial Horono’h of Bridlino’ton, the Fidian Distidids of Didfhehl and Filey, and the Rural Districts of Hridlino’ton and Dritlield; the Holder- ness Division eomprisino' the ]\rnniei])al Horonpdis of Beverley and Hedon, the Frban Districts of Hornsea and Withernsea, and the Rni’al Distrii'ts of Beverley and Holderness; the Howdenshire Division eonpirisiny th(‘ T’^rhan District of Xorton and the Rural Distriids of Derwent, Howden, Norton and PoidKlino’ton: and the Halteni]iT'iet^ Division, which consists of the Frban Distriid of Haltem])rie(\ The ultimate aim is that there will he for t'aeh of these Div isions a Divisional Medical Officer who is also the i\fedieal Otheer of Health for eaidi of the eonstitntent C^ninty Disti'iets included in the Division. As a Divisional Medical Otheer on the stalf of the County (h^uneil, he will have the duty of administer- ing the personal health and sidioid mediiuil services for which the County Chmiudl is res]U)nsihle, and as a Medical Otheer of Health, lie will administer the environmental health services of the District rViuneils and it is ho]ied by these means to foro'e a very (dose and ])ersona] link between these services.
