![NOTE MM, p. 202. Medical Act {Qualifications) Act. [39 & 40 Victoria, Ch. 41.] AX ACT to remove restrictions on the granting of Qualifications for Registra- tion under the Medical Act on the ground of Sex. [11th AUGUST 1876.] Be it enacted by the Queen's most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in the present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same : 1. The powers of every body entitled under the Medical Act to grant qualifications for regis- tration shall extend to the granting of any qualification for registration granted by such body to all persons without distinction of sex : Provided always that nothing herein contained shall render compulsory the exercise of such powers, and that no person who but for this Act would not have been entitled to be registered shall, by reason of such registration, be entitled to take any part in the government, management, or proceedings of the universities or corporations mentioned in the said Medical Act. 2. This Act shall be taken to be incorporated with the Medical Act, as amended by the Act of the twenty-second year of Her Majesty, chapter twenty-one. and the Medical Act as so amended, and any other Act amending the Medical Act shall be construed and have effect accordingly.
