Description

Three wooden statue of St Herbot, St Jonas (also known as Yon) martyred in 3rd century Paris and St Batholomew, one of the twelve apostles of Jesus, holding a flaying knife. The statue of St Herbot was purchased by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum in 1929 and accessioned in 1938 (accession number R567/1938). The statue of St Jonas was purchased by the Museum in 1934 and accessioned in 1938 (accession number R575/1938) and the statue of St Bartholomew was acquired by the Museum at an unknown point. None of them are held by Wellcome Collection.
