![169 Summary of Bylaws made by the London County Council under the General Powers Act, 1908. FISH CURER. 1. Prevents assistance by any person suffering with infectious disease. 2. Premises must have rainproof roof, be adequately lighted and ventilated. Walls and floor must be of suitable smooth, impervious material, and the floor drained. 8, There must be no effluvia at any time. 4. No poultry or animals must be kept in any place communicating with the business part of the premises. 5. Boxes, etc., which have contained fish must be removed within 24 hours. 6. Must provide means for securing personal cleanliness of those employed. 7. Suitable iron or non-absorbent receptacles with covers must* be provided, all refuse, etc., placed in them, and removed at least once every 24 hours, and thoroughly cleansed. 8. Premises and appliances must be kept in proper order and repair. 9. Premises must be limewashed four times a year. 10. Kilns must be of fireproof materia] and capable of conveying away the vapour or smoke without noxious and injurious effects. 11 & 12. Gutting slabs to be of slate, glazed earthenware or smooth impervious material, also the tanks and vats. 13. Yard to be properly paved and drained. 14. Penalty for offending, £5, and £2 a day for continuing offence. VENDOR OF FRIED FISH. 1. Relates to infectious disease. 2. Suitable premises. 8. Effluvia. 4. The keeping of animals, &c. 5. Boxes, &c., to be removed. 6. Personal cleanliness. 7. All fish to be thoroughly gutted and cleansed before being fried. 8. Suitable receptacles for offal, &c., removal and cleansing of same. 9. Premises and appliances to be in good repair. 10. Premises to be limewashed 4 times a year. 11. Deals with the construction of the furnace and the efficient carrying away and consuming of noxious gases and vapour. 12. Adequate impervious gutting slabs. 13. Yard to be properly paved and sloped and drained, and yard drain inlet trapped. 14.
