That in three cases of hemiplegia the average quantity of fat in the corpus striatum, optic thalamus, and gray substance of the hemisphere opposite the paralysis, was less than the average quan¬ tity in the same parts of the other side. 8. That in a case of cancer cerebri the cancerous mass contained less fat and more albuminates than the unaltered cerebral substance.
