    At a Stated Meeting of the Board of Managers of the Preston Retreat, held June 17th, 1839, Hon. John Sergeant in the chair, the following resolution was adopted : Resolved, That the thanks of this Board be presented to Dr. James Bryan, for his interesting and able Report on the management of the Lying-in Hospitals in Europe.
