    From Dr. JOHN MAYO, fellow of the ROYAL COLLEGE OF PHYSICIANS, AND PHY- SICIAN TO THE PRINCESS OF WALES. Dr. ^Iayo authorizes me to state, That since he perused my late publication on the Humulus Lupulus, he has prescribed that medicine with beneficial effect, in some of the cases for which I recommended it. He considers it a peculiar bitter, differing essentially from others, and possessing very valuable properties. His ex- perience of it, when given to Infants, allows him to speak to its safety, and to make mention of it as a medicine of considerable utility in some convulsive affections arising from teething irritation.
