![RURAL DISTRICT OF ANDOVER PUBLIC HEALTH DEPiikTi'EMT To the Chairman and Members of Andover Rural District Council. Mr. Chairman, Ladies and Gentlemen, I have the honour to present the Annual Report on the health and sanitary circumstances of Andover Rural District in 1965. Dr, A. C. Howard, whose death in tragic circumstances, shocked us all was Medical Officer of Health until ]st April, 1965 when he went on sick leave. For the remainder of the year Dr. T. E. Roberts, Medical Officer of Health, Basingstoke Borough and Rural District, was Acting Medical Officer of Health. The Registrar General*s estimated mid year population of the Rural was 21,040 which was an increase of 1,020 over 1964. There were 356 births and 145 deaths showing a net increase of 211. I should like to thank the Senior Public Health Inspector and the staff of his and my department for their help in the completion of this report.
