First day cover envelope with 10 postage stamps issued by the Royal Mail Group Ltd. on Thursday, 22 October 2009. This is the first of three annual sets to commemorate the 2012 London Olympic and Paralympic Games. It has all 10 stamps stuck to it and they have been cancelled by the official first day of issue (canoe slalom) cancellation stamp and includes a colour, illustrated 'stiffener' card. The stamps show canoe slalom, archery, track athletics, aquatics (diving), boccia, judo, equestrian events, badminton, weightlifting and basketball. The text explains the events and how physically disabled and visually impaired people participate.
