In the matter of a medical practitioner, and In the matter of the National Insurance Acts, 1911 to 1913. To of Take notice that the Insurance Commissioners have decided to hold an Inquiry with respect to the matters appearing in the subjoined state- ment for the purpose of ascertaining whether the continuance of the above-named on the panel of medical practitioners for the County [County Borough] of would be prejudicial to the efficiency of the medical service of insured persons. You are hereby informed that the Inquiry will be held by the Inquiry Committee constituted by the Commissioners on day, the day a.m. of 19 , at at p m. and that you are entitled to appear and to take such part in the proceed- ings as the Inquiry Committee shall think proper. [Statement of matters for Inquiry.] Dated Signed Secretary or Assistant Secretary 1 to the Insurance Commissioners. SEVENTH SCHEDULE. Buies for procedure at Inquiry. 1. The Inquiry Committee shall be at liberty to proceed with the Inquiry on the appointed day in the absence of either party (whether represented or not), if they are of opinion that it is just and proper to do so. 2 (1) The Inquiry Committee may adjourn the Inquiry from time to time as they think fit, and hold adjourned sittings at such time and place as may appear to them suitable. . , (2) Witnesses may be heard at the Inquiry on behalf of either party, and all' witnesses (including the parties) shall be subject to examination and cross-examination as nearly as may be as if they were witnesses in The1 Chairman of the Committee shall preside at the Inquiry, but, subiect to the decision of the Chairman as to the admissibility of any question, any member of the Committee may put questions to any witness and the Committee may if they think fit call for such documents and examine such witnesses as appear to them likely to afford evidence relevant and material to the issue, although not tendered by either party. 3 Subject to the provisions of Part VI. of these Regulations and of this Schedule, the proceedings at the Inquiry shall be conducted in such manner as the Inquiry Committee may dnect.
