Of the duties which exfofe foldiers to the caufes of difeafes, THE life of Britifh foldiers on fervice, in time of war, is fo very different from what they lead in time of peace, as to fubjett them to many inconveniences and difeafes. In time of peace, foldiers are quartered ei- ther in towns or in garrifons, where they arc under the eye of their officers, who take care that they keep themfelves clean, and provided with neceffaries; they lie either in private houfcs or in barracks, where they have a good B bed,
