    The Bah aj^d thb Moustache.—Although the Pam students may fairly claim to be morefroeanddis- clear that the Paris Bar is under as strict a discipline as that of any city in the world. An edict has gone forth to the olfect that moustaches are at once and hrevocably to aisappear from the upper bps of all advocates in the Palais de Justice. Of late years the dread authorities of the Faculty de Dtoit had connived at the wearing of these unprofessional orna¬ ments, and grave Professors had even cairied into the lecture-n oin the forbidden embellishments. But the Minis¬ ter of Justice has interfered to correct the scandal, and the learned wunsel wib no longer be permitted to dispense with their razors. The incident has given occasion not only to ajreat deal of grumbling on the part of those gen- tJemen, but to some considerable amount of discussion ia the public Press as to the^history of moustaches.— fsteT- ’nding drunk da^^ hisTtepson, Eeasons for WEAEmo A Moustache.—We have been able to draw up a table of the different reasons for wearing a moustache. The majority of persons wear a moustache X. because they imagine in their conceit that it becomes them, but how rarely * you meet with a person who has the courage to admit it!
