    THE LAW EELATINH TO FACTORIES AND WORKSHOPS. •O*- FACTORY AND WORKSHOP ACT, 1901. (1 Edw. VII. Cap. 22.) An Act to consolidate with Amendments the Factory and Workshop Acts. [17th August, 1901.] Be it enacted by the King’s most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :— PART I. Health and Safety. (i.) Health. Sec. 1. 1,—(1.) The following provisions shall apply to every factory as defined by this Act, except a domestic factory :— {ci.) It must be kept in a cleanly state ; Qj.) It must be kept free from effluvia arising from any drain, watercloset, earthcloset, privy, urinal, or other nuisance ; Sanitary con- dition of fac- tory.
