![Proceedings were not instituted in this case, owing to the unreliability of the evidence of the principal witness, viz., the purchaser. The adulterated whisky contained 8.6 parts of water in excess of that allowed by statute. Proceedings were taken against the vendor, and he was convicted, being fined 10s. and £2 6s. costs.
