About this work

Description

A Greek temple can be seen through the clouds. An angel sprinkes garlands over the head of Aesculapius, god of medicine. Two centaurs pull the chariot. A figure with a bow and arrow stands on the right and aims at an already wounded dragon, which is breathing fire upon a plant which grows from a rock. In the bottom right-hand corner, people walk with crutches and lie sick; a winged skeleton chases a demon in the hybrid form of a horse and fish
