About this work
Description
The programme includes two themes. First, Laurie Taylor is in discussion with John Mullan and Sharrona Pearl about the science of physiognomy. For centuries, in literature, art, images and cartoons, the descriptions of how people look has come to be seen as an indication of how they behave. Physiognomy is the science dedicated to cataloguing the relationship between appearance and behaviour. The second item questions whether or not we should grow out of the music we loved in our youth.
