When the squirt is taken away, the passage should be closed by the finger and thiinib for a few seconds to keep in the injection. Lesser Disorders Which May Follow Clap. Erections.—’^Jdie yard should be soaked in water as liot as can be borne for twenty minutes before turning in. If the erections occur in spite of these ])recautions, the pain is relieved by sitting on cold metal, or sluicing the yard well with cold water, and by giving a double dose of the Soothing mixture (Recipe No. 4) every night. The testicle soon increases to two or three times its natural size, and becomes very tender. There is also a feeling of sickness, and of pain in the loins, furred tongue, confined bowels, and general fever.
