    From R. Rattray, Esq., M.D., Superintendent, Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. I have been acquainted with Dr D. Nicolson since soon after the commencement of his studies at this Hospital. During the period of his attendance, he officiated as Dresser and Clerk to the Surgeons and Physicians. He was well known as an attentive, intelligent, and orderly student; and from the care and attention he bestowed on his professional studies, as well as from his general good conduct and amiable disposition, I have no doubt that he will discharge the duties of any medical appointment in which he may be placed, faithfully.
