Letters to Director General, liow to be adclreseccl and transmitted. Numbers and dates to be quoted. SECTION I.-CORRESPONDENCE. 752. Official letters will contaiu full information of all par- ticulars upon the subject to wMdi they relate. Each letter will refer to one subject only, and will be wiitten, when practicable, on foolscap paper, a half to quarter margin being left on the inner side of each page. The paragraphs will be numbered, and the enclosiu-es (if any) described in the margin or on a separate schedule, half a sheet of paper only being used when the letter or other document does not extend over the first page. 753. Signatures to all letters, accounts, and documents, will be wi-itten in a clear, legible character, and the official designa- tion of the person signing will be stated; the station and date \vill also be invariably given. 754. Principal Medical Officers will be responsible for the con-ectness of what is set forth in documents submitted by them. It is their duty to endeavour to adjust all matters that come Avithin the scope of their authority; and in transmitting cor- respondence to the Director General of the Ai-my Medical De- partment they will follow the instructions contained m para- graph 39 of these Kegulations. 755. Letters and apphcations from Medical Oliicers in- tended for the Dh-ector General will be transmitted to him through their immediate superiors. 756.
