When a Medical Officer considers a woman or etnlcl, laboimrig- under serious or acute disease, requu-es Hospital treat- ment, he will submit an apphcation for admission to thePnncipal Medical Officer according to the following form :— Station Date AppUcation for the admission of (a Woman or Cliild) ■, ri, -n of Eegiment, into the Hospital for Soldiers' Wives and Childron. Name. Age. Disease. Date of Attack. Amount and Class of Barrack Accommodation. No. of Rooms. If in room mth other families. No. of Children. If in Wooden Huts. Remarks E.xplanatory of Circumstances deemed to require Hospital Ti'eatment. Section V. W. O. Form 881. I certify that suffers from a serious attack of acute and that I consider ivould he seriously endangered if left for treat- ment in quarters, owing to the want of proper nm-smg, quiet anu rest. Approved. (Signatm-e of Medical Officer.) Principal Medical Officer. Patients sent to the Hospital must carry this form with them. 242. Cases of scarlet fever, diphtheria, and small-pox, v,'hen Infectious occiu-iing in ban-acks or huts, ^oU always be admitted into diseases. Hospital with a view of preventing, or limiting, the spread of such diseases. Other infectious maladies will, as a rule, be treated in quarters, and cases will only be admitted into Hospital on the order of the Piincipal Medical Officer, imder chcum- stances which in his opinion justify a departure from the general i-ule. 243. Infectious cases will never be ti-eated in any of the Hospitals devoted to cases of pai-tuiition and general disease._ 244. The wives and children of soldiers coming to Hospital Certificate for admission, will be requh-ed to bring a certificate on W.O. necessary for Form 1135, signed by the Commandmg Officer, that the apph- 'idmission. cant is the wife or cliild of a soldier on the married roll of a regiment and entitled to quarters.
