About this work

Description

Postcard (possibly ca.1918) showing the Turkish Tom Thumb in a dark suit and fez holding a cane. There is an ornately carved chair behind him and a carved cupboard with 2 books on it to his right. The card would probably have been sold as a souvenir at places where he was exhibited as part of a freak or variety show.
