![LABORATORY FACILITIES The Public Health Laboratory situated at the Coventry and Warwick Hospital, Coventry, undertakes the bacteriological examination of samples of water, ice cream and food, also in the investigation of infectious diseases. The services of the Analyst to the City of Coventry are also utilised for chemical analysis. THE GENERAL PROVISIONS OF THE HEALTH SERVICE The General Practitioner service is administered by the Warwickshire and Solihull Executive Council, There are several Medical Practitioners living in the district and others residing outside practise on the periphery. There are no general hospital services directly available in the district but adequate out and in patient facilities are provided at the Nuneaton and Coventry Hospitals which are administered by No. 20 Group Hospital Management Gommittee of the Birmingham Regional Hospital Board. Cases of infectious disease are admitted to Whitley Isolation Hospital, Coventry, Out patient clinics for tuberculosis are held at Riversley Park Clinic, Coton Road, Nuneaton, Warwickshire County Council are responsible for the administration of the School Health Service and arrangements for Eomiciliary Nursing and Midwifery Services, Domestic Helps, Vaccination and Immunisation, Care of Mothers and Young Children, Care and After Care and the Ambulance Service ad laid down in Part III of the National Health Service Act, 194&.
