He faith, that both his Phy- fician and himfcif were now perfe£lly perfuaded that it was a confirmed Stone ; befides other Misfortunes of Grate! that was in the Kidneys. Omb. 6, that he had voided hitherto a confi- derable Deal of Grit like unto the Rubbifh of an old Houfe tho5 fofr, after it is taken out of the Urine, it becomes as hard as Stone ; that he had alfo pad abundance of Flakes with that, which is called Mucus j that when he turned in the Night-time in Bed from Right to left, he did not find that he had fuch an extraordinary Pain as formerly, that his Pain diminifhed daily, but was much afraid the Stone could not be diffdved. That for three Months before he took the Medicines, he had not been able to dir from home. The 9th. contains, that fin ce he wrote lad, efpecially the Day before, and this Day he had parted with io much Grit> Mucus, and Flakes, that he expe&ed now he fhould get cured. Inclofed is an Account dated the ioth, how the Stone was now come to aDidblution and palled in a great Quantity by Pieces. OSfob. 25. gives much the fame Account -y and that the Medicines agreed fo well with him, that he could be able to take a larger Quantity than I ordered, if neceffary, without loading his Stomach in the lead. That his Ailment was not of a fhort Date, becaufe fo far as he could remember, the hrd of his Ailment was in 'Nov 1715. Nov. 7th. takes notice of a little Pain Sir William had had in paffing fbme larger Pieces from the Kidneys thro5 the Ureters than ufual, and that there was a little Blood with it, but was how ever very eafy.
