During the year 462 deaths from all causes—245 males and 217 females— were registered for the district, giving a death rate of U’Sg. The total number of deaths occurring in the district was 383, of these 6 belonged to other districts—to which they have been transferred. In addition 79 deaths of residents occurred outside the district, 25 in the General Hospital, 44 in the Workhouse Infirmary, and 10 in other institutions.
