    12 From Bovvater J. Vernon, Esq., F.R.C.S., Ophthalmic Surgeon to St. Bartholomew's Hospital and the West London Hospital. Mr. Shuter has for some time been doing good and useful work in St. Bartholomew’s Hospital, and in the Medical School. He was a very efficient House-Surgeon, and has made the best use of the very great opportunities he has enjoyed, thoroughly learning his professional work; more recently, as one of the Assistant Demonstrators in the Anatomical department, he has had experience in teaching. Everything that Mr. Shoter undertakes he does with zeal and with his best efforts, and I feel sure that he would, under any circumstances, do his Utmost to maintain the reputation of his Hospital and the School.
