Description
Human glioblastoma cells in culture viewed both with phase
contrast and fluorescence imaging. The green cell
has been transfected with a mutated P10 gene. This
produces a catalytically inactive P10 protein
which reduces the cell's ability to take up
particles by endocytosis. Nuclei are stained blue
with DAPI and the transfected cell is full of
Green Fluorescent Protein. The red spots are 0.02
micron fluorescent spheres that have been taken up
by the untransfected cells much more than by the
transfected one.
