![c. Petrol Supplies 1 have contiimed to deal with the Comicihs petrol supplies and the total amount used for all purposes was 3,056 gallons. The monthly return to the Ministry of Fuel & Power accounts in detail for the use of this fuel. d. Petroleum Act, 1928 49 petrol storage licences for a total storage of 49,110 gallons have been issued. One carbide storage licence has been issued for the storage of SOOlbs. of carbide. The conditions under which petrol is stored and petroleum mixture used are constantly under revue. e. Civil Defence The work of removal of air-raid shelters has been carried out during the year and the following work has been completed:— Public Shelters 1 has been transferred to the AVest Kiding County Council. 1 has ]3een sold to a private owner. 7 have been demolished. Communal Surface Shelters 2 have been sold. 46 have been transferred to your Council or to private owners. 25 have been demolished. Morrison Shelters All the Morrison Shelters have been collected and returned to Iron and Steel Control. The foregoing work has involved the preparation of eight contracts amounting in total to £774 13s. 44d.
