![ARE YOU A CHRISTIAN? OR, AID TO SELF-EX- Hubbard Winslow, Pastor of Bowdoin St. Church. Third Edition. The great and increasing demand for this valuable work, has in- duced the publisher to issue a third edition. The work has had, and is now receiving an extensive circulation, and the demand is constantly increasing. The following are selected from notices of the work : [From the Christian Watchman.] . Are You A Curistian? Or, Aip to Sertr-Examination: By Rev. Hubbard Winslow, Pastor of Bowdoin Street Church, Boston. This inviting little volume contains the whole body of religion in sixty-four pages, divided into three parts. The First Part con- tains sixteen questions, for self-examination, addressed immediately oe to each, individual, from which it is difficult to escape, without stifling conviction. The Second Part comprises thirty-two reso- lutions, which, if firmly taken, will successfully answer the previ- ous questions. The Third Part gives twelve directions for grow- ing in grace. In following these directions, every traveller will soon find himself in the bright pathway to Heaven. We have seldom seen so much matter thrown into such a small compass. Go, reader, and purchase it, and say if we have told you of half its merits. a + [Extract of a letter from a Clergyman. ] f “The little work handed me, entitled ‘Are you a Christian ?’ might be mentioned, there is one so peculiar, I must name it: The author did not begin till he had something to say, and he left off when he was done. Nothing lacking, nothing superfluous. It should bein the hands of every one who hopes he is ‘ a Christian.’ ”’ ‘ [From the Christian Mirror. ] rae This is truly an acceptable and useful little book. It can be read through in an hour, so that its size and expense can frighten no / one; and yet it contains ‘ much in little,’ and ought to be read once _ | aday by every one who has “named the name of Christ,’’ or who » | expects to do so. a é 4 -_™ * se tel -* - . . - & ™ 4 pe A ¥ ot - + * _ a a> 3 !
