But care muft be taken not to bring the patient too low, elfe he will want ftrcngth to car- ry him through the difeafe. Gentle opiates may b; ordered at night occafionally in cafe of reft- lefTnefs. If the pulfe finks, he mould be fupporl- ed with proper cordials. Coftivenefs fhould be -avoided, and even.a., purging fhould be checked., with caution, being generally cither critical, or rt leaft falutary. On the third or fourth day the eruption (preceded by profufe fweat of a fourifh fmell, with tingling or pricking fenfation) appears, chiefly on the neck,, breaft, and back; of little bladders refembling millet-feeds, (from whence the fever is denomi- nated)
