This small Remembrancer is intended for Inspectors in the smaller provincial towns, whose practice in meat inspection covers a smaller ground than their col- leagues, who devote their whole time to meat and foods inspection in larger com- munities. 1 am much indebted to Mr. James F. Brailsford, Public Health Laboratory, University of Birmingham, for his kind assistance in correcting the “ proofs,” which has in no small measure added to the value of the Book. The book is an index to larger works on the subject, and so arranged that the busy Inspector may quickly arrive at any point, helping him to focus his attention on any doubtful matter he may be called upon to give a hurried opinion.
