A view of the Golden Horn (Halic) and Constantinople from the top of the Pierre Loti Hill in Eyup. The Galata Tower, Sultan Ahmed Mosque, Sultan Bayezid Mosque and Suleymanie Mosque are seen in the distance. The Eyüp neighborhood is a historically important area, especially for Turkey's Muslims because of the tomb of Abu Ayyub al-Ansari, the companion and standard bearer of the Prophet Muhammad
