Two meetings of this Committee were held at the Shire Hall during the year. Hot a great deal of work has been done as the number of cases requiring assistance has been falling annually. It was therefore decided tc extend the scope of the Committee to deal with the care and after-care of persons suffering from illness general iy. An application to the Minister under Section 28 of the Rational Health Service Act 1946 has been successful and the Committee has been renamed excluding the word nTuberculosis”. It is not intended that this Committee should cover the field of Old People’s Welfare.
