VIII.2] 147 By Thomas Roper yoman and hys felowes etc. (1 Sott’ towne dreane) In primis the sayde jurye sayithe that a drenn or common sewer begynnes at a place called Symon Werie and frome thens by the est syde of a gatte called Mores Gatte to a place called Acrelande Stowe in Sutterton and from thens to a brydge in Fyschemerend called Wasse Brydge in Sutterton aforesayd & frome thens to a place called John Dycconson House and from thens to the sowthe end of a pasture in Sutterton aforesayd the which pasture ys called Squyertofte and buttes of a waye called Boston Gatt or Strugges Waye and so from the sayd Strugges Waye to the gotte of Algerkyrke and Fosdycke the which sewer is in decaye for lacke of dyckinge as well in brede as in deapnis by the space of i1j** rooedes at the least from Symonde Were to a bredge in Sutterton aforesayd callede Wasse Brigge and oughte to be dycked in breade x fotte and in deapnys two fotte by the inabitauntes of Sutterton Algerkyrke and Fosdycke by common menwarke accordynge to ther olde custome that ys to saye Algarkirke and Fosdycke two pens or two rodes or els two spaydes & Sutterton one penye or j rode or els one spayd and from the sayd brigge in Fyschmerend called Wasse Brigge to a howsse called John Dycconson Howsse is in decaye for lacke of dyckinge aswell in brede as in deapenes the space of xxt#i rodes and ought to be dycked in brede x fotte and in deapnes 1j fotte more then yt ys nowe by the inhabitauntes of Algerkyrke and Fos- dycke by common menwarke and from the sayde house called John Dycconson House to the sowthe end of a pasture cane Squyertofte 1 There is a small hole in the folio here.](https://iiif.wellcomecollection.org/image/b32176983_0002_0018.jp2/full/800%2C/0/default.jpg)
