(Mr Holand Rought) Item the sayd jure doth say that the one half of Mr Holand Rowght ys defictyve for lacke of diking, bankyng, rodynge, clensinge and scowringe, and owght to be diked, banked, roded, scowred and clensed by the inhabitors of Horbling, Hell- pringham and Swaton, from tyme to tyme as ofte as ned shal require which they do not to the utter undoing of the country. (Tha [sic] wersted) Item the sayd jure sayth that ther ys thre wers or dammes kept in the same rowght by George Carre, the which remaneth but ix foute wide at the most, the which ought to be equall with the common sure called Hamond Becke both ther and in al other places which owght to be xi1ij fote wide at the least wherfore we pray that the same maye be pullyd upp or ells mayd wyder so that the waters which passythe throwghe the same may nott be molestyd & troblyd but have the ryght course to the see. [th]er ys a common way for the passage of the quenes subiectes out of the partes of Holand . . . within the partes of Kesten and Holand extendyng from a place or house at Brigend called [Saint S]aviours in the partes of Kesten unto a place called the Hye Brig of Brigdike in Donington in the partes of Holand . . . hye way or common way called Brigdike ys greatly in ruen and decay and many briges in sundry places . . . cawuse as wel for the convaynce of waters as for the passwage of the quenes subiectes and that... frustrate and brokyng decaed and clearly gone to the great noyanes let desturbans and hendrans of [th]e quenes subiectes which forsayd hye way cawuse or commonway from the sayd place or house at Brigend called Saint Saviours in the partes of Kesten unto the meadest of the sayd Hye Brige of Brigdike in the partes of Holand owght to be mayd repared and amended with certane other briges in certane places of [the] sayd cawuse or hye way . . . the howse of Saint Savers at Brigend aforsayd with the landes and tenementes to the same house belonging and appertaining now in possision of the quenes majestie.
