[473.X1.9] 190 (Gosberton and Surflet] Item the seyd jurey say that ther ys a drene called Rusgate Ey belongyng to Gosberton & Surflet wyche ys defectyve for lack of dyking from a place nye Fen End Bryg unto the lymyttes of Surfte under the sedyck in the same drene & the one part of the seyd drene ys to be dyked by the lordes & fre holders of Surflet as yt hathe ben used to be done, & thother part therof to be dyked clensed & scoured by the lordes & freholders of Gosberton as ytt hathe ben lyke wyse used to be don & the bangkes of the same drene bothe within Surflet shyft & Gosberton shyft ar defectyve in dyvers places for lack of hyght & breade & ought to be amended by the lordes & freholders of the seyd townes as joyse bokes of the same do apoynt the same to be don. Item the seyd jurey say that ther ys a drene called Lee Beache tendyng from the fens att Wryghtbold unto the see goote att Surflet of the wyche part was dyked thys last yere past & some of the same drene betwene Gosberton & Pynchebek ys not yet dykyd & owght to be dyked by the lordes & owners of landes or groundes next adionyng to the same drene.
