    And then I think on future hours When you’ll no longer seek for flowers. Or smiling run with fondest guide, Along the placid river’s side; Or chasing with a visage sly, The soaring wanton butterfly. Fatigued upon her bosom lean — But through a falsely smiling scene, I see you thoughtless happy led. Where fashion flits around your head. What dangers then beset my dear. When most the men shall flatter, fear — When most the men shall softly smile. They fondly hope they may beguile. And hope to hurt when most they please. As vampire bat excites a breeze Soft, cooling, lulling to repose The child whose life’s blood quickly flows, Feeding the filthy beast with all A mother’s fondest name may call. I see your mind will often rest On flitting image of the breast;
