Fine engraved title and 96 beautiful en- graved plates showing tournaments, armoury, etc. There ave 12 engraved head and tail pieces. The text is by Charles Perrault. There is a Latin poem by Esprit Fléchier. The plates are engraved by Chauveau, Isr. Silvestre, etc. The book was later included in the great collection entitled Le Cabinet du Roi, but these separately issued copies are preferable to those, because they contain the first impressions of the plates.
