PURPOSE The purpose of S. 298 is to amend the Patent Code to provide additional protection for biotechnological inventions. Senate bill 298 will eliminate barriers to biotech process patenting, and there- by increase innovation and stimulate the development of new prod- ucts and processes. 69-010
