The bronchial mucous membrane inUmsely congested. I did not see the right lung, but the note is that it “ contained a considerable (juantity of caseous substance, just begin- ning to break down. None of the orgnns from this case were kept for examination. The case was evidently one of intense or virulent infection. The cavities had resulUnl from the breaking down of solid masses, one at lea,st of which, on the periphery, had l>cen wedge- sha]K*d.
