It will again be appreciated that xhe progress made in the i field of Slum Clearance hes been, to some extent, at the expense j of other services. Consequently the supervision of food | supplies has been routine. Vigilance has been maintained but | no especial efforts or campaigns launched. .! j Whilst one appreciates the progress made in earlier years ^ one cannot remain oblivious to the provisions of the recent ^ legislation and the need for an up-to-date survey of food premises..i; The difficulty, however, is doing all that one would wish to do ] with the staff available. It is hoped that in the near future we shall be able to implement some of the schemes which at the i moment lie on the table. i It -7-](https://iiif.wellcomecollection.org/image/b29094628_0039.jp2/full/800%2C/0/default.jpg)
