Chaulmoogra Odorata. Vern. Chauhnoogra, Petarcura. Off. Seeds. A native of Sylhet, and the seed employed extensively in the treatment of cutaneous diseases. The seeds are various in shape, nearly oval, smooth, grey, hard. Embryo white. The seeds yield by expression about 10 per cent, of a thick, fixed oil, of unpleasant flavour, and rather offensive smell; 3 i given to a dog caused violent v omiting in fifteen minutes.
