Description
Some information is stored with the print and reads: " ... Apparatus for the communication of heat to bodies apparently dead, invented by Mr. Harvey, surgeon of Manchester, and one of the medical assistants of the Lancaster Humane Society." (key to print) "A. A two funnels for pouring hot water into the apparatus. B. a plug to carry off waste water. C & D the length of the apparatus which will be 5 feet 6 inches. D. contains steam for warming the feet. E. A cock to let off the hot water, to make room for cold, if necessary."
