Derek Paravicini, 26, is totally blind and severely learning impaired with autistic traits, but his brain is a perfectly composed musical computer. Although Derek can't count to 10 and doesn't know his left from his right hand yet he has universal absolute pitch and can distinguish individual notes from the sounds of an entire orchestra. This documentary looks at his extraordinary musical talent and attempts to explain how his mind works. Derek flies to the US to meet another blind musical savant, Rex Lewis, 9, and they play a duet together.
