All the authors who have treated the 1 r have fallen into confufion, which can only be^avoided by a diftinct idea of fimple fever, a description of which has been endeavoured to be given in the above pages, In a future differtation the author propofes to point out the manner in which fimple fever is repeated with vari- ous modifications, fo as to form all the varieties of the difeafe.
