To Her Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the County of Lancaster, in Annual General Session assembled 31 si December, 1863. Prestwich, 30th December, 1863. The Committee of Visitors of the County Lunatic Asylum at Prestwich present their report to the Annual General Session, in accordance with the provisions of the Act 16th and 17th Viet., cap. 97, sec. 62. The enlargement of the Asylum during the past year has necessitated extensive alterations in the former buildings. On the Male side new and well-ventilated Dining Rooms, with a Waiting Room and Lavatories, have been formed from the O 7 Workshops and Associated Bed Rooms; and a commodious Dead House has been erected in a position which will enable it to be secluded by trees from the rest of the Buildings.
