![It is far from my wish to spread vain a- larms, by making the Cases public, but I con¬ sider it a question, that ought as soon as possible to be determined. This I conceive to be within the power of the Vaccine Institution, if they will give directions, for a number 0/ persons to be ino- ciliated with Small Pox matter, or exposed strong¬ ly to injection, who were vaccinated early in the practice.. The result of such inoculation, jor the period included in it, must• be deeijive. The report of these Cases with the observations annexed were 7cad before the Quarterly .Meeting of the Medical Society of Portsmouth, Portsea, and Gosport, on Thursday, the 2e^th instant. To the President and Members, I take this op¬ portunity of rendering my acknowledgments, for the candid and liberal approbation which they una¬ nimously expressed, by directing it be entered on their records. Under their sanction, 1 feel greater • ’• ' ■ * > U confidence in offering it to the attention of the pro- fcssion as a subject Jor further investigation.
